Day 1:
... from wherever you come - "Welcome to Jordan"
The adventure
begins the moment you arrive at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport.
We are at your service ensuring baggage claim and customs procedures are swift
and easy.
We still have some surprises in store for you and take you for a welcome dinner
to an ancient Arabian castle where delicious Arabic food is waiting for you.
The night will be spend in a beautiful five star hotel in Amman.
Day 2: Amman - Wadi
Rum - Petra
After a lavish
breakfast buffet we will continue our route to Wadi Rum where we will trek
deeply into the enchanting landscape in four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Let the fabled T.E. Lawrence come alive. For lunch we will rest at our desert
camp, stunning in natural beauty and celebrate a traditional party with Bedouins.
For overnight we will continue to Petra where we will spend the night and
enjoy a deluxe dinner in a 19th century totally renovated village which offers
first class guest accommodation and facilities.
Day 3: “Petra”
the spectacular Rose-Red City
The most famous
attraction is the Nabatean city of Petra. To reach the city we will ride on
horse back to the “Siq”, an immense crack in the Nubian sandstone.
We will continue on foot through the winding, one-kilometre-long fissure between
overhanging cliffs. At the last turn, out of the gloom appears Petra’s
most impressive monument - The Treasury. We find ourselves surrounded on both
sides by hundreds of Petra’s carved and built structures, soaring temples,
elaborate Royal tombs, a carved Roman Theatre and many other impressive monuments.
A picnic lunch will be served in one of the nice caves of Petra, nicely decorated
with candles.
In the afternoon we have to say “good-bye” to fabulous Petra and
we will return to Amman where a splendid dinner awaits us at Reem El Bawadi
Restaurant, one of the most beautiful Arabian Restaurants Jordan has to offer.
Day 4: The ancient
“Roman Cities” Umm Qeis and Bosra
Breakfast buffet
at our hotel. Before we leave Jordan we visit Umm Qeis, known in antiquity
as Gadara. Gadara commands magnificent views over the northern Jordan Valley,
the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberias) and the Golan Heights. Here we will enjoy
our lunch at the beautiful resthouse in antique attire.
Our experienced staff handles all departure/arrival formalities for you while
you enjoy a refreshing drink at the border.
Our first stop in Syria is Bosra which was the capital of the Roman province
of Arabia. Bosra has the largest and best preserved Roman theatre which is
still used for performances.
Additional highlights for our groups:
1) Before we will reach Bosra the bus-driver will act as if the bus has a break-down. Everybody will leave the bus and wait for a while. Suddenly donkeys and donkey carriages will appear and take the group to Bosra.
2) In the antique Roman theatre of Bosra we can arrange dinner in a romantic atmosphere and we can organise a professional performance of the Symphony Orchestra of Damascus.
We reach Damascus and police men on motor bikes escort us to our hotel. Ebla Cham Palace Hotel belongs to the leading hotels of the world.
Day 5: A Day full of
Surprises
Breakfast buffet
at Ebla Cham Palace Hotel. We drive to the antique Hejaz Station where we
are welcomed by a traditional folklore group, joining us on our train ride
on the ancient steam train. Take part in our party and enjoy “shots of
Arak” - the traditional Syrian drink!
We will cross parts of the Bloudan mountains where Bedouins attack the train.
The tribe of Sheikh “T-Shirt Robbers” is very much interested in
“men´s wear” such as shirts, pullovers and sometimes even
trousers.
We are well prepared with “survival bags” in which you will find
some Arabic Dresses - Dishtash, Abayeh and Kofieh.
At the train station our bus will be waiting for us and we continue on to
Krak des Chevaliers, the best preserved crusader castle in this area.
Let’s form teams and let’s follow the footsteps of the crusaders.
Each team has to find as much as possible of the lost clothing which is hidden
in the impressive castle.
The night at Krak des Chevaliers castle is magical ... Let us be your trusty
“jinn” (genie) and arrange a party based on a tale from “The
Arabian Nights”. Inside the oil-lit castle are graceful dancers promising
an evening which will be impossible to forget. After the winner team will
be honored we will transport you via modern “flying carpets” to
our hotel.
Day 6: Damascus, ...
explore the famous Souk
After breakfast
transfer back to Damascus and sightseeing tour. Check-in and lunch at Ebla
Cham Palace Hotel.
In the afternoon we will have enough time to explore one of the most famous
bazaars "Souk Al-Hamidieh". It goes straight from "Bab Al-Nasr"
(Victory Gate) to the entrance of the Ummayad Mosque.
It is a very crowded "souk" in which well designed shops offer all
kinds of goods, cloths, ready made dresses, traditional dresses, brocades,
handicrafts, wooden mosaics, carpets, engraved copper wares, jewels, etc...
The farewell party we will enjoy at a traditional Arabic restaurant with Dervish
dancers.
Before we will return to our hotel the bus will take us to Kassioun mountain
where we have a fantastic view of Damascus by night. On top of the hill we
will have a small reception with arak, fruits and sweets etc. ...
Day 7: Via Roman Gerasa to the Shores of the Dead Sea
Today we will take
you to Gerasa, Jordan‘s best preserved and most complete Greco-Roman
city.
At Green Valley Restaurant we will see how the typical Arabic bread is prepared.
Enjoy your Arabic lunch!
In the evening prepare for a meal you will never forget - a delicious barbecue
served in a Bedouin tent along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot
on earth. The meal is served on low tables to the sound of our traditional
music. We will celebrate a farewell party you will never forget.
We will spend the night at Mövenpick Beach Hotel, a beautiful new 5-stars
Hotel. Don´t miss to relax in the gently lapping water of the Dead Sea
- you cannot sink!
Day 8: Today we have
to say good-bye - “Ma Salameh”
After a lavish
breakfast we will take you to the airport ... only a 45 minutes drive! We
are at your service ensuring departure procedures are swift and easy.
