(5 days and 4 nights)

 

Day 1: ... from wherever you come - "Welcome to Jordan"
The adventure begins the moment you arrive at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport. We are at your service ensuring baggage claim and customs procedures are swift and easy.
We still have some surprises in store for you and take you for a welcome dinner to an ancient Arabian castle where delicious Arabic food is waiting for you. To fit in this ancient atmosphere we supply you with a selection of traditional folklore costumes and we take a group photo as a souvenir for you. The night will be spend in a beautiful five star hotel in Amman.

Day 2: the day full of surprises
After a lavish breakfast buffet we will explore the dynamic Capital City - „Amman“. At the antique Hejaz Station in the centre of Amman we will be welcomed by a traditional folklore group, joining us on our train ride on the ancient Hejaz train. Take part in our party and enjoy “shots of Arak” - the traditional Jordanian drink!
We will cross parts of the desert where Bedouins attack the train. The tribe of Sheikh “T-Shirt Robbers” is very much interested in “men´s wear” such as shirts, pullovers and sometimes even trousers.
We are well prepared with “survival bags” in which you will find some Arabic Dresses - Dishtash, Abayeh and Kofieh.
Enjoy our picnic lunch on the train. At Jiza Train Station our bus will be waiting for us and we continue on to Wadi Rum where we will trek deeply into the enchanting landscape in four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Let the fabled T.E. Lawrence come alive. After Sunset we will rest at our desert camp, stunning in natural beauty and celebrate a traditional party with Bedouins and enjoy the “1000 stars” desert barbecue under the starry desert sky. This night we will sleep in a very traditional way alone in the desert in Bedouin tents.

Day 3: say “good morning” to the camels and “good night” to the fabulous Petra mountains
After our breakfast in the desert we will start our safari on camel-back and enjoy the romance of the desert.
Wadi Rum is like a moonscape of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of the white and pink colored sands.
The hospitable and friendly desert people may invite us to share mint tea or cardamon coffee in their black tents (picnic lunch).
In the afternoon we will continue to Petra where we will spend the night in a 19th century totally renovated village which offers first class guest accommodation and facilities while experiencing the original way of life in a typical Jordanian village of that era.
After a long day in the desert we reward ourselves in a traditional “Hammam” (Turkish Bath) and let ourselves be pampered at the hands of professional masseurs.
If the weather is nice we will enjoy our dinner at “Bustan” village square that provides daily entertainment, hubbly bubblies (water pipe) and offers you a breath taking view of the Petra mountains. In winter the delicious restaurant offers us a wide ranging buffet.
We will spent the night in the unique hotel Taybet Zaman or Beit Zaman in Petra.

Day 4: “Petra” the spectacular Rose-Red City
The most famous attraction is the Nabatean city of Petra. To reach the city we will ride on horse back to the “Siq”, an immense crack in the Nubian sandstone. We will continue on foot through the winding, one-kilometre-long fissure between overhanging cliffs. At the last turn, out of the gloom appears Petra’s most impressive monument - The Treasury. We find ourselves surrounded on both sides by hundreds of Petra’s carved and built structures, soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, a carved Roman Theatre and many other impressive monuments.
A picnic lunch will be served in one of the nice caves of Petra, nicely decorated with candles.
In the afternoon we have to say “good-bye” to fabulous Petra and we will return to Amman where a splendid dinner awaits us at Reem El Bawadi Restaurant, one of the best Arabian restaurants in Jordan.

Day 5: today we have to say good-bye ...“Ma Salameh”
After a lavish breakfast we will take you to the airport ... only a 45 minutes drive! We are at your service ensuring departure procedures are swift and easy.
