In May 2002 a new event
was presented for the first time by Ashtar Tours International: the "Lawrence
Festival"!
In May 2002 it has been 40 years to the shooting of the famous film "Lawrence
of Arabia"!
This new event was a great success and became a regular event.
In 2006 the "Lawrence Festival" bill take place from June 9th - June 10th.

wanted to celebrate a fitting farewell to the last Millennium
that also commemorates King Hussein - a great king of the 20th Century!
The first commemoration concert at Amman´s Roman Theatre was celebrated
on 9/9/99 - the ONLY date to contain five 9’s .
"Nine" was the lucky number of His Late Majesty King Hussein, who
passed away on February 7th, 1999.
And "nine" played an important role in his political and private
life.
An additional concert was held in the Roman theatre of Petra on Sept. 7th,
1999, exactly seven months to the date of his passing away.
The event was a great success, therefore International Ashtar Tours, the Ministry
of Tourism and JTB decided to make these concerts a regular event.
Last event took place 7/9/05 in Petra and on the 9/9/05 in Jerash (instead
of Amman).
In 2007 it will take place again September 7th in Petra and September 9th
in Amman.
